The Hotel Alpenhof impresses with its quiet and sunny location at the entrance to St. Jakob.
The Defereggental, one of the three East Tyrolean high mountain valleys, is located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, surrounded by almost untouched nature. A summer holiday in the Defereggental is extremely popular with families and nature lovers, who get their money's worth here. A wide variety of themed hiking trails, leisurely walks or the varied routes of the alpine region are enthusiastically accepted. Not to mention the high tours in the world of the three-thousanders. The Defereggen Valley is notorious for a number of mountain bike routes that are also a tough challenge for professionals. If you don't like the strenuous climbs by bike, you can and should choose the gently curving paths along babbling brooks. Families in particular appreciate the St. Jakob - Erlsbach cycle path above all, as it also leads past a playground.
Facilities
Away from mass tourism, the family-friendly hotel invites you to feel good with a wide range of offers. A spacious lobby with a bar by the open fireplace, a panoramic winter garden, a sun terrace, a bicycle cellar, elevator and free parking spaces await you in a charming atmosphere. In the 3 restaurant areas with Zirbenstube and Tiroler Stube you are served culinary delights from Austrian and Italian specialties. A lawn with sun loungers and parasols invites you to relax. You can use Wi-Fi in the whole hotel for free.

The 84 modern rooms offer not only the highest living comfort but also a breathtaking view of the three-thousanders of the Defereggental. All rooms are equipped with bath or shower/toilet, hairdryer, bathrobe, telephone, radio, satellite TV, safe, mini fridge, Wi-Fi and seating area.

Meals
Charme All Inclusive: Generous Austrian breakfast buffet with organic corner, cakes and hot and cold snacks from the buffet in the afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., cold starters, soups and salads from the buffet in the evening, menu of choice or themed buffet. Drinks (soft drinks, draft beer, red or white wine, water, house schnapps, espresso, cappuccino, tea) included from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. according to the Charme All-Inclusive menu. Gluten-free, vegetarian and lactose-free food on request.
Activities
Guest program with 2-3 weekly guided hikes from the hotel, rental of Nordic walking sticks and hiking sticks depending on availability, evening entertainment once a week.
For a fee: rental of bicycles and e-bikes, schnapps tasting, rafting, canyoning, paragliding and golfing in St. Veit.
