Programme:
The Renaissance castle Rosenburg is enthroned high on a rock, visible from afar, in the romantic Kamptal valley. Get impressed by the 120m long climbing rose wall,
the old rose garden and the DAVID AUSTIN show rose garden. The historic falconry has been part of the intangible UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012.
Discover the Castle Museum with its spacious showrooms on an exciting private tour. All former manorial living rooms are furnished with antique furniture and works of art from the Rosenburg Castle furniture depot. During the tour you will also see the weapons room with exhibits from the Hoyos family's private collection, the knight's hall, the music room and the chapel, where sacred furniture and art objects are displayed in the anteroom on the first and second floors.
At an exclusive bird of prey demonstration, you will experience the lightness of flying and meet the king of the skies. During the demonstration you will learn more about the historical development of falconry, about various breeding programs to preserve biodiversity and of course about the natural behavior and habitats of the various birds of prey.
Enjoy a 2-course lunch menu in the wonderful castle inn.
Now comes the sporty part of the day: Exciting climbing heights await you in the Rosenburg climbing garden. The climbing forest extends with several courses over a forest area of more than one hectare. Buckle up and climb the trees! Climbing over a wide variety of rope and bridge constructions, balancing, crawling through hanging tunnels or whizzing through the air on the Flying Fox - and enjoy a breathtaking panorama!
