Programme:
This is an adventurous trip with lots of fun! You will get to know the countryside in a playful way. But be aware that there are still a lot of farming skills that have to be learned before graduation: from mowing with a scythe to milking a cow and so on.
The day starts with an e-bike tour through the enchanting countryside of South Burgenland (only about 1.5 hours).
From Neustift an der Lafnitz you can ride an e-bike through the Lafnitztal, where you will enjoy an “all you can eat” lunch grilling and chilling in the nature. You can prepare all kinds of delicacies directly on the Lafnitzufer – classic for meat-loving tigers or healthy for vegetarians.

After the E-Bike Tour you will get to know the countryside at Landmatura®. The stations are handled individually or in a team.
The theoretical examination begins with “Fiater” and “Huat”. A special lecturer will guide you through this section and explain contexts. You will be introduced to plant science and get to know and taste the difference between industrial products and products of agricultural production.
The practical exam will take place in small groups in the subjects of woodcutting, rural creativity, brandy and must recognition, mowing with the sinew, milking a cow, baking clusters, recognizing plants and laying nails.
After a short period of practice, you may take the “examination”. If the desired performance was not achieved at the matura, the examinations are carried out on the spot – albeit to the delight of all present. The matriculation examination ends with the distribution of the certificate.
