Vienna is closely linked to the work of Ludwig van Beethoven. In honor of this musical genius, the 250th anniversary will be celebrated in Vienna in 2020 with numerous events, exhibitions and concerts.
The revolutionary composer spent 35 of his 57 years in Vienna, leaving many traces. In the Beethoven year, music lovers can get very close to the composer, in opera performances, in the large Beethoven Museum, in preserved apartments and in places of his triumphs and despair, in monuments and Klimt's Beethoven Frieze.
