The town center is about 700m away. The state capital Klagenfurt is about 10km away. The central location in Pörtschach also allows you to easily reach the lake, hiking trails, golf courses and numerous attractions in the region.
The most hours of sunshine in Austria, swimming fun, hiking and cycling trails, including the 55km long Wörthersee circular hiking trail, and a breathtaking natural landscape: all of this awaits you on your summer vacation on Lake Wörthersee. In winter, the Gerlitzen Alpe, just a 20-minute drive from the hotel, is one of the most popular excursion destinations with its beautifully groomed slopes and many cozy huts. You can experience unique moments on a winter hike along the Pörtschach promenade or on a snowshoe tour.

The hotel, personally managed by the Grossmann family, welcomes you with a particularly warm and familiar atmosphere, which forms the basis for your personal well-being. In the gourmet restaurant "la balance" with show kitchen, walk-in wine cabinet and aperitif bar, you can enjoy light, Mediterranean Alpine-Adriatic cuisine as well as traditional Austrian and Carinthian specialties reinterpreted. The restaurant has already received several awards for its excellent cuisine from Gault&Millau, Á la Carte and Fallstaff. The stylish golfer's lounge with SKY and the cozy fireplace room invite you to relax and have pleasant conversations. The stylish evening bar & lounge 4E's with a smoking lounge in the covered outdoor area guarantees a wonderful end to the day with atmospheric music, refreshing cocktails and over 40 types of gin. The hotel's offering is rounded off by a light-flooded lobby, a reading room with library, a bistro, a pool bar, a sunny terrace with a lake view, an air-conditioned seminar & event area and an exclusive kitchen studio with regular cooking courses. The 64 rooms and suites, furnished with great attention to detail, were designed according to the four elements of water, fire, earth and air. Each room has a bathroom with bathtub and/or shower, hairdryer and care products, separate toilet, telephone, flat screen TV with 16 channels, safe, minibar (filled on request), WiFi and most have a balcony as well as a cozy bathrobe and a bathing bag for the duration of your stay. A harmonious living concept with warm colors and timeless elegance, high-quality furniture made from local woods, specially woven carpets, wall paintings and various accessories express the balance of all four elements that is so important for well-being.

If you book the BALANCE gourmet cuisine, you will also receive a lunch snack in the bistro from 12.30 p.m. to 2 p.m., and in the evening, a multi-award-winning 5-course gourmet menu with a choice of menu and salad buffet as well as vegetarian and low-calorie options. Food intolerances or allergies will be taken into account on request and pre-order.

Golf
A total of 12 golf courses, including courses in neighboring Italy and Slovenia, are available to fans of green sports in the region. There are four top courses around Lake Wörthersee alone, which you can reach in a maximum of 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. Moosburg, Dellach and Seltenheim are among the "leading golf courses of Austria". As a hotel guest, you receive up to 30% green fee discount on 11 selected golf courses, including the Moosburg-Pörtschach golf course and the Carinthian Dellach Golf Club. You also benefit from attractive golf packages, special conditions with the Alpe Adria Golf Card, preferred tee times and a golfer's lounge with a regulars' table and in-house golf brochure with lots of information in the hotel.
