Embedded in the impressive mountain landscape of East Tyrol, the car-free Gradonna **** Superior Hotel Resort makes every athlete's heart beat faster. The alpine lifestyle resort in timber construction is located above the village of Kals directly on the piste. Kals is a meeting point for all those who want to enjoy nature in its original form. Rural customs and village culture are very important here.
Facilities
The sustainably built and certified, car-free resort with its own water source and energy supply is perfectly integrated into the natural environment. Outside and inside are not a contradiction here, because natural materials and colors characterize the rooms down to the last detail.
The Gradonna restaurant with panoramic views for your gourmet board spoils you with modern, light cuisine at toque level. East Tyrolean specialties paired with Mediterranean influences - here old recipes are interpreted in a new and tasty way! In the spacious bar with a partially covered terrace you can end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. You will find the right tipple to go with it in the wine cellar with Austrian, but also international wines.
The hotel also has the "East Tyrolean delicatessen" with regional and homemade delicacies, souvenirs, newspapers and hygiene products, a sports shop with equipment rental and a small hotel library. There is a lift, one free underground parking space per room and a charging station for electric cars (for a fee). WiFi is free throughout the hotel.

The 121 residential units, furnished in pine wood, are integrated into the landscape in such a way that every room offers fascinating views. Exclusively equipped with a bathroom with bathtub or shower, separate toilet, hairdryer, organic care products made in Tyrol, loaner bathrobe and felt slippers, radio, telephone, satellite TV, safe and WiFi, they meet all requirements. In addition, each room has its own relaxation zone with a mountain or valley view and a balcony.
DC (2-4): Classic double room, approx. 30m², bathroom with shower.
JS (2-4): Junior Suite, from 39m², bathroom with shower and infrared heat cabin.
SS (2-4): Tower Suite, from 55m², separate sleeping and living area, bathroom with bathtub, shower and double washbasin, private spa with panoramic infrared heat cabin, espresso machine and tea maker and furnished terrace.

The Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei is the largest ski area in East Tyrol and is known for its varied family slopes. There are 15 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts as well as 42 kilometers of wonderful slopes ready for your snow adventure.
At the Gradonna ****Superior Mountain Resort, the day's skiing begins and ends in front of the hotel entrance. According to the motto "ski in, ski out", the resort is located directly on the valley run. The direct connection to the Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei ski area, our own ski school and ski pass service, ski rental and a free beginner's ski area in the resort offer the exclusive setting for carefree snow fun.
25 km of well-groomed cross-country ski trails for beginners and advanced skiers - awarded the Tyrolean seal of quality for cross-country skiing - cross the dreamy mountain landscape in and around Kals. The entrance to the cross-country ski run and a toboggan run can be found in the immediate vicinity of the resort. Away from the pistes and cross-country ski trails, those looking for relaxation can also experience wonderful holidays in healthy mountain air. Be it a guided snowshoe hike with wild animal observation, a guided ski tour into the world of the three-thousanders or a winter hike in untouched nature. And in the evening: full moon and evening hikes, floodlit toboggan run, or simply having time to find yourself again.
Wellness
Gradonna Mountain Spa features an indoor and heated outdoor pool with a whirlpool zone, a comprehensive sauna area with Finnish saunas, aroma steam baths, infrared cabins, a saltwater steam bath, a sauna pool, a tranquility room, and spacious relaxation areas with waterbeds, as well as a separate family area with a clothed family sauna and a children's pool with a small slide.
For a fee: massages, wellness and beauty treatments, and a hairdresser.
Children
Gradonna Nature Children's Club 6 times a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for ages 3 and up, teen program for kids ages 12 and up with one program item per day, playroom, own children's restaurant with children's buffet.
