The hotel is directly connected to the LifeClass Thermal & Wellness Center, which offers you the most complete thermal, health and wellness offer in Europe. The resort's own Meduza beach is only separated from the hotel by the busy promenade and a street. The beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Slovenian Adriatic and impresses with its excellent location and excellent range of services.
Portorož and the neighboring Piran are exceptional travel destinations and an excellent starting point for a wide variety of activities and excursions. Stroll along the promenade from Portorož to Piran, hike into the charming hinterland with its olive trees and vineyards, cycle along the historic Parenzana railway line or swim in the sea water.
Facilities
The luxurious Grand Hotel with its Mediterranean flair impresses with a spacious and elegant reception hall with baroque sofas, a hotel restaurant, a winter garden, a boutique shopping center with several shops, a casino, a congress center and a large sun terrace with a refreshing pool. In the à la carte Salina restaurant, you can expect a first-class selection of Mediterranean and international specialties with a magical view of the Bay of Piran. The bright and spacious Café Central spoils you daily with fresh cakes and tarts from the in-house pastry shop, homemade ice cream and a colorful selection of excellent coffees. In the bar you can enjoy cocktails, French cognac and Cuban cigars. The hotel's own beach (open from 15 June to 15 September) with loungers and parasols (for a fee) as well as a restaurant and a bar is located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Wellness
The hotel is connected to Terme Portorož via a bathrobe corridor. Here you can choose between swimming pools with heated sea water (Sea Spa) or with thermal water (Primeval Sea) all year round. Entry is included in the room price for hotel guests for the duration of their stay.
Experience the beneficial primal energy of the thermal primeval sea. Due to its chemical composition, the primeval sea is considered to be a unique thermal mineral water in this part of Europe, which has beneficial effects on your health and well-being. The primeval sea swimming pool complex (closed from 2.11.-2.1.) includes a swimming pool, a large relaxation pool, a children's pool and two whirlpools. The Sea Spa with heated sea water has a large indoor pool with massage jets, a swimming pool with meditative music, a children's pool and in summer an outdoor pool and a large sun terrace with a view of Portorož and the Bay of Piran.
The unique sauna park (from 16 years, closed from 30.6.-31.7.) on 1,000m² with 7 different saunas, including Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, tepidarium, laconium and salt sauna, Kneipp stream, chromotherapy and ice cave can be used for an additional charge
Spa Treatments
For a fee: experience the perfect harmony of body and soul in the Wellness LifeClass Center with an extensive range of wellness, beauty and health services. The Wai Thai Center is a unique center for traditional Thai massage and natural facial and body care carried out by professional therapists and beauticians. The beauty center offers a varied program of beauty treatments for the face and body that rejuvenate and shape the body using the latest technology and professional treatment.
Health Treatments
For a fee: in the Shakti Ayurveda Center, various Ayurveda treatments are carried out by certified therapists from India as well as by professional Ayurveda therapists. The Thalasso Center offers a wide range of "thalassotherapies". The use of local, health-promoting marine products such as fango, brine water, Piran salt, algae, pure sea water and also the climate make the therapies and treatments at the Thalasso Center unique in Slovenia. Specialized and experienced doctors will help you choose the various therapies.
Children
LifeClass Summer Mini Club in July & August with culinary and creative workshops, water games, face painting and a mini disco in the evenings, expanded playground with various play areas on the resort's own Meduza Beach.
LifeClass Halloween Mini Club during the fall holidays with creative workshop, pumpkin games and Halloween party on 31.10.
Fairytale LifeClass Christmas and New Year Mini Club from 23.12.-2.1. with fairytale workshop with making Christmas decorations and greeting cards, festive games, a visit from Santa Claus and a mini New Year's Eve party.
The Mini Club for children aged 4-12 is located on Meduza Beach in summer and in the Hotel Apollo in bad weather and in autumn and winter.
