The extraordinary Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt is located between the mountain and the lake, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hallstatt. Hallstatt is world famous - and of course has a lot to offer, including the "Hallstatt World Heritage Museum" with its cultural treasures from 7,000 years of history and the ossuary in the Michaelskapelle. The imperial town of Bad Ischl and the saltwater bath in Bad Aussee can be reached within just 20 minutes by car.
Facilities
The Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt combines three historic town houses into a hotel of a special kind: The main house Kainz is located directly on the boat dock and welcomes you with a newly designed reception and breakfast area. In the recently opened à la carte restaurant Seeauer with a small bar, Austrian classics with an international touch and regional specialties from the Salzkammergut as well as vegetarian alternatives await you. The historic, castle-like Haus Stocker - the oldest house in Hallstatt at over 400 years old - welcomes you about 3 minutes from the main house with a romantic feel-good ambience and a small front garden. The Haus Seethaler is about 5 minutes' walk from the main house and awaits you with a fantastic view of the lake due to its slightly elevated hillside location. Rental bathrobes and umbrellas are available at reception. WiFi is free in all houses.
Payable on site: Public parking P1 with shuttle service on arrival/departure (every half hour between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.): EUR 18,- per 24 hours. Dog on request: EUR 18,- per night (not permitted in the shuttle from P1 and in the restaurant). Local tax: EUR 3,- per person/night from 15 years.
Rooms
The 55 individually furnished rooms have a bathroom with bathtub and/or shower, toilet, hairdryer, L’Occitane care products, telephone, IP TV (Netflix), safe, minibar, WiFi, Nespresso machine including capsules and tea service, and some have a balcony and lake view. In the listed buildings, no two rooms are the same, each enchants with its own story.
DS (2-2): Standard double room without balcony, 18-22m² with market view in Haus Kainz or limited lake view in the other houses.
DD (2-2): Deluxe double room, 22-26m² with lake view in Haus Kainz or balcony and (limited) lake view in the other houses.
DU (2-3): Superior double room, 23-40m² with lake view and balcony or lake view and small terrace with garden in Haus Kainz and lake view and terrace in Haus Seethaler.
SF (2-4): Family Suite Standard in Haus Stocker without balcony, approx. 40m², with bedroom, living room with pull-out sofa and market view.
JS (2-4): Junior Suite, 45-55m², with lake view and balcony in Haus Kainz or separate bedroom and living room with pull-out sofa and balcony with lake view in the other houses.
DX (1-1): Superior room for single use.
The allocation of rooms in the individual houses is the responsibility of the hotel.
Meals
Generous breakfast buffet including Prosecco and fresh smoked fish specialties.
Activities
For a fee: every Wednesday evening tour of the Bad Aussee salt mine.
Winter fun
2 ski areas, the Freesports Arena Krippenstein in Obertraun (5km) and the Dachstein West family ski area (20km), can be reached within a very short time with the free ski bus. A ski bus stop is about 1 km from the hotel.
While the Freesport Arena Krippenstein offers the longest run in Austria with around 11km and 30km of off-piste variants, the Dachstein West ski area welcomes you with a total of 142 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes in a wide variety of difficulty levels.
Whether cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, a long winter walk or a romantic sleigh ride, not only a unique winter landscape awaits you around Hallstatt, but you will also encounter numerous cultural monuments.
