The Johannesbad Hotel Palace is located in the charming center of Bad Hofgastein, surrounded by a large hotel garden. The Alpentherme is within walking distance. The famous Gastein healing tunnel is approx. 12km away from the hotel.

In addition to personal commitment and a relaxing atmosphere, the elegant hotel offers a lobby with a 24-hour reception and open fireplace, the impressive panoramic lounge as a representative retreat and place to relax, two restaurant areas and a seminar room. The cozy hotel bar is the perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine in pleasant company. There is a lift and free parking spaces on site, subject to availability. WiFi is free throughout the hotel.

Rooms
The 198 comfortable rooms have a bathroom with bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, rental bathrobe, telephone, radio, cable TV, safe and WiFi. Each room also offers a balcony with a fascinating view of the Gastein mountains.

Meals
Half-board: Varied breakfast buffet, cakes in the afternoon, evening buffet or themed buffet. Christmas and New Year's Eve gala dinner included. Beverage flat rate (soft drinks, wine, beer) optionally bookable on site.
Activities
Aqua aerobics from Monday to Friday as posted, live music and dancing at the hotel bar several times a week, guided adventure program throughout the valley (partly for a fee) - organized by the tourist association.
For a fee: billiards, darts, tennis hall with direct access from the hotel.
Winter fun
The Gastein Valley offers skiers, whether beginners or advanced, four varied ski areas with a variety of blue, red and black slopes, with a total length of over 200km. These belong to the Ski amadé ski association, one of the largest winter sports areas in Europe. The Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel ski area is the largest connected ski area in the Gastein Valley and is ideal for families. There are not only ski slopes of all levels of difficulty, but also a large practice area for beginners.
The free ski bus takes you comfortably every 10 minutes to the Schlossalmbahn with direct access to the Gastein ski area. A ski bus stop and the entrance to the nearest cross-country ski trail are right next to the hotel. There is also a ski rental service available in the hotel.
Over 100km of groomed winter hiking trails are available for those who prefer to experience the winter mountain magic on foot. Things are certainly a little faster on the groomed toboggan runs. Cross-country skiing fans will find a variety of routes on a total of 45km of groomed trails. When the snow conditions are right, a (night) trail runs past the hotel. With snowshoe hikes, ski tours, spectacular ice climbing opportunities, ice skating and curling, there are numerous other options for an active winter holiday.
