Location
The Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is in an excellent location, right on the famous Váci utca and the Elisabeth Bridge. Well-known sights such as the Hungarian National Museum and the Budapest History Museum are in the immediate vicinity. Váci utca is Budapest's oldest trading street and is now considered the city's most famous promenade. While the lower part of the street is mainly covered in market halls with restaurants and souvenir shops, the upper half is a busy shopping street with many international fashion chains. The Ferenciek tere metro station is only 200m from the hotel.

The Matild Palace is housed in one of the most legendary palaces in Budapest, named after the Imperial and Royal Highness Maria Klotild of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
