Facilities
The loving combination of tradition and modernity is what creates the special charm in the village of SCHÖNLEITN. In the car-free complex you will find a central reception, a cozy bar, the Dorfstadl guesthouse restaurant, the à la carte Dorfwirt restaurant with Carinthian delicacies, a 24-hour self-service village shop and 4 seminar rooms with the latest technology. There are free parking spaces in front of the complex. WiFi is available free of charge.
Payable on site: Dog including dog equipment: EUR 15,- per night. Towel & bed linen change. Daily cleaning. Meals (breakfast buffet and/or dinner) can be booked locally depending on availability. Local tax EUR 2.30 per person/night from 17 years.
Apartments
The apartments and suites combine tradition with modernity and offer enough vacation space for families of up to 6 people. The 94 suites and apartments, divided into 25 lovingly restored Carinthian farmhouses, are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, safe, fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette (electric stove, refrigerator, coffee machine with tabs, microwave, dishes ) and living-bedroom with cozy dining area and 2 sofa beds. A wellness bag with a rental bathrobe and bath towels is available for the duration of your stay.
WX (2-4): 2-room apartment Schwindelfrei, approx. 35m², double bedroom and living-bedroom with 2 sofa beds.
SS (2-4): 2-room suite Federleicht, approx. 35m², bedroom with French double bed and single bed (loft bed), living room with high-quality sofa bed, ultra-modern warm relaxation lounger, rustic tiled stove (cannot be heated separately) and Balcony.
WV (2-6): 3-room apartment Felsenfest, approx. 55m², 2 bedrooms (1 x double bed, 1 x 2 single beds), living room with 2 sofa beds.
SU (2-6): 3-room suite Wolkenlos, approx. 60m², 2 separate bedrooms (1 x double bed, 1 x 2 single beds), large living room with 2 sofa beds, rustic tiled stove (cannot be heated separately) and private sauna .
Initial supply of all linen (bed linen, towels) or 1 x weekly interim cleaning as well as electricity, heating and water included.
Meals
Optionally bookable breakfast or half board.
When booking half board: extensive breakfast buffet with organic corner and dinner with menu or buffet choice (depending on guest frequency) including table drinks with dinner (Carinthian water, natural juices, table wine, draft beer and filter coffee).
Activities
Natural MOVE sports & activity program according to the notice - sport, exercise, health & prevention for the whole family with various exercise units (e.g. preventative back training, body shaping, yoga, back fit, family fit fun units), gentle winter and snowshoe hikes and nutrition workshops, daily guest program during the holiday periods and high season.
If you book over Christmas, there will be a Christmas tree in every apartment/suite that you can decorate yourself.
For a fee: personal training, rental of snowshoes and toboggans, rental of a Naturel electric car BMWi3.
Winter fun
Winter holidays in the VILLAGE OF SCHÖNLEITN are a wonderful mix of skiing, a cozy village experience and plenty of space for winter enjoyment. Thanks to the optimal location in the border triangle, several ski areas such as the Gerlitzen Alpe in Austria, Kranjska Gora in Slovenia and Tarvisio/Monte Lussarin in Italy can be reached within a short time. The Gerlitzen Alpe rises directly from the shore of Lake Ossiach and impresses with 32 varied ski runs and 20 lifts. The diverse hut cuisine, the 360° panoramic view and numerous cozy sun terraces make your day of skiing an unforgettable mountain experience.
The free ski bus takes you to Gerlitzen Alpe several times a day at fixed times within approx. 20 minutes. A ski school with individual advice, ski rental and ski ticket sales are located directly in the village. Opposite the complex, there is a children's ski hill with a practice carousel and magic carpet as well as a toboggan run for the little ones.
Furthermore, cross-country skiing trails, snowshoeing and winter hikes around the facility entice you to do sports in the snow.

During the holiday periods and in the high season from Monday to Friday, BIBI's children's world with hourly diaper league for babies from 8 months to 2 years by appointment as well as all-day care in the children's club for children aged 3-11 - close to nature, active and varied, often an evening program to 8 p.m., Mountainsplash youth club for ages 12 and up during the holiday periods, play and craft room with slide, cozy corner and child-friendly play equipment, environmental and cooking programs, creative studio, baby equipment (baby bed, high chair, bottle warmer, baby monitor, baby bathtub) upon advance order and subject to availability .
Holiday with your Dog
The Dorf SCHÖNLEITN is not a special dog hotel - but four-legged family members are very welcome. In the spacious apartments you will find everything you need on holiday with a dog: a water and food bowl, a cozy dog bed and a dog towel in the entrance area. The service is supplemented by free dog walking bags, an outdoor dog water bar and dog toys for hire at reception. If necessary, you will also receive information about veterinarians in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, swimming with dogs is not permitted at the pool or on the lawn at Lake Faaker See. From the hotel you will find cozy paths for dog walking and short walks, where in summer a jump into the cool water is not out of the question. Particularly practical: There is no lobby, you can walk right outside the door with your pet and explore the area around the hotel on two legs and four paws.
