Between mountains and lakes, the village of SCHÖNLEITN in the heart of Carinthia offers unforgettable holiday experiences for families and active connoisseurs. The idyllic hotel village was built from wood that is over 400 years old and thus exudes a very special charm.
Whether swimming, hiking, mountain biking or golfing - the region around Lake Faaker See has a lot to offer. A special mountain sports highlight in the region is the Kanzianiberg. Here, in Carinthia's largest climbing area, you can explore over 300 climbing tours with state mountain guides from the Alpine School. You will find wonderful hiking trails, even without climbing, in the mountains of the Karawanken, the Carnic Alps, the Julian Alps and the Nockberge. The Aichwaldsee and the Faaker See invite you to water sports such as stand up paddling, canoeing, electric boats, rowing boats or pedal boats - always without a motor!
Facilities
The loving combination of tradition and modernity is what creates the special charm in the village of SCHÖNLEITN. In the car-free complex you will find a central reception, a cozy bar, the Dorfstadl guesthouse restaurant, the à la carte Dorfwirt restaurant with Carinthian delicacies, a 24-hour self-service village shop and 4 seminar rooms with the latest technology. In the summer months, the large lawn by the year-round heated outdoor pool with loungers and parasols is the ideal place to relax. There are free parking spaces in front of the complex. WiFi is available free of charge.
Payable on site: Dog including dog equipment: EUR 15,- per night. Towel & bed linen change. Daily cleaning. Bread service. Meals (breakfast buffet and/or dinner) depending on availability. Local tax EUR 2.10 per person/night from 17 years.
Apartments
The apartments and suites combine tradition with modernity and offer enough vacation space for families of up to 6 people. The 94 suites and apartments, divided into 25 lovingly restored Carinthian farmhouses, are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, safe, fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette (electric stove, refrigerator, coffee machine with tabs, microwave, dishes ) and living-bedroom with cozy dining area and 2 sofa beds. A wellness bag with a rental bathrobe and towels is available for the duration of your stay.
WX (2-4): 2-room apartment free from vertigo, approx. 35m², double bedroom and living-bedroom with 2 sofa beds.
SS (2-4): 2-room suite Federleicht, approx. 35m², bedroom with French double bed and single bed (loft bed), living room with high-quality sofa bed, ultra-modern warm relaxation lounger, rustic tiled stove (cannot be heated separately) and Balcony.
WV (2-6): 3-room apartment Felsenfest, approx. 55m², 2 bedrooms (1 x double bed, 1 x 2 single beds), living room with 2 sofa beds.
SK (2-6): 3-room suite Wolkenlos, approx. 60m², 2 separate bedrooms (1 x double bed, 1 x 2 single beds), large living room with 2 sofa beds, rustic tiled stove (cannot be heated separately) and private sauna .
Initial supply of all linen (bed linen, towels) or 1 x weekly interim cleaning as well as electricity, heating and water included.

When booking half-board: rich breakfast buffet with organic corner and dinner with menu or buffet choice (depending on the number of guests).

During the holidays and in the high season, by prior arrangement, BIBI's children's world with hourly diaper league for babies from 8 months to 2 years as well as all-day care in the children's club for children from 3 to 11 years - close to nature, active and varied, often an evening program to 8 p.m., Mountainsplash youth club for ages 12-17, play and craft room with slide, cozy corner and child-friendly play equipment, environmental and cooking programs, excursions into nature and adventure games, creative studio, baby equipment (baby bed, high chair, bottle warmer, baby monitor, baby bathtub ) on pre-order and subject to availability.
