Lake Wörth is the largest lake in Carinthia and one of the warmest Alpine lakes in Austria. Swimming, diving, water skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, taking a round with the banana boat and much more - you will be spoilt for choice.
Experienced water sports enthusiasts are absolutely right in Pörtschach, the ideal place to raise your sails on the boat or surfboard. A wide range of leisure activities are also offered off the lake. So you can walk 55 km along the Lake Wörth circular trail and take a look at many imposing peaks of the Karawanken. For cyclists the region of Wörthersee is full of surprises. By bike you will get to know the area around Lake Wörth in all its diversity.
Facilities
The Parkhotel Pörtschach is a designer hotel in the style of the 60s, from the entrance to the room fittings to the door handles and ceiling lamps. Many style elements such as the elevator, the stairs, the hotel bar and the reception are kept in their original condition. A successful combination of tradition, relaxation and a new trend!
Let yourself be pampered in the hotel restaurant with panoramic windows and lake view as well as in the à la carte palm restaurant with Mediterranean delicacies, lakeside terrace and wine bar. The Palm Bar serves your favorite cocktail from May to September. The spacious, stylish lobby with reception, seating and a dignified bar with lakeside terrace and stunning lake views invites you to relax. For events there are 4 air-conditioned function rooms with exit to the outside.
The beach with sun loungers and parasols is exclusively available to hotel guests.

Golf
In the mild climate on the southern sunny side of the Alps, the golf season starts a few weeks earlier and lasts a little longer. And you have also a fantastic location between majestic mountains and a crystal-clear bathing lake. The golf course Moosburg is about 2km away from the hotel. With its slightly hilly landscape and many small ponds, this beautiful resort was awarded the "Premier European Golf Course".
Tip: acquire the Alpine Adria Golf Card with numerous advantages on 22 courses in the region.
