From the imperial city of Bad Ischl to the hiking paradise of Gosau
Immerse yourself in the Inner Salzkammergut, which has developed into a flourishing region for millennia thanks to the white gold of salt. World-renowned explorers such as Alexander von Humboldt and Friedrich Simony discovered the beauty of this almost perfect landscape with its numerous glittering lakes and meandering mountain rivers, magically embedded in the mountain scenery. Their discoveries attracted adventurers and mountaineers to the high alpine setting, to the idyllic alpine pastures and rushing waterfalls. In the 19th century, the imperial family and their summer residence in Bad Ischl attracted many artists and celebrities who found peace and relaxation between Lake Traunsee and the Dachstein Mountains. We invite you to follow in their diverse footsteps.
