The family-run hotel is located on the outskirts of Hinterstoder, surrounded by the mighty Limestone Alps of the Dead Mountains, in the idyllic Stoder Valley. The center of Hinterstoder can be reached within 10 minutes on foot.

Meals
Poppengut's gourmet board: rich gourmet breakfast buffet with a cereal corner, fresh fruit, a variety of fruit juices, whole grain products, and much more. A cold or warm snack and homemade cakes buffet are available in the afternoon. A 5-course dinner menu with regional delicacies from the natural kitchen and a salad buffet are available in the evening. Vegetarian, low-calorie, or dietary options are available upon request and advance reservation. Christmas menu included.

Winter fun
The impressive mountain peaks of the Totes Gebirge mountains form the breathtaking backdrop for Upper Austria's only World Cup ski resort, the Höss in Hinterstoder. With 14 modern ski lifts, you can truly enjoy the 40 kilometers of varied slopes with top-quality snow. For an extra dose of action, skiing highlights include the adventure slopes and ski loops, as well as the Hannes Trinkl World Cup slope and a dedicated racing and training center with a permanent race track.
From the hotel, you can reach the valley station of the Hinterstoder-Höss ski area within a 5-minute walk or with the free ski bus. A stop is located directly at the hotel. The Wurzeralm ski area, with around 22 kilometers of slopes, is approximately 30 kilometers away and can also be reached by free ski bus.
Off the slopes, explore the wintery natural landscape with winter or snowshoe hikes or a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find more than 120 kilometers of trails throughout the Pyhrn-Priel region. A trail entrance is located right next to the hotel. Just 300 meters from the hotel, the Stoderer natural toboggan run, which is illuminated daily until 11 p.m. when snow conditions allow, promises fun for the whole family.
