In summer, hardly any region offers as varied and numerous options as the Pyhrn-Priel holiday region. Numerous hiking trails start right outside the front door and lead through untouched nature and to idyllic alpine pastures. 21 two-thousand-meter peaks are ideal for mountaineering and climbing. Short hikes can be combined with many of the region's excursion destinations. Pedal comfortably or race down the mountain ridges at high speed: you can discover the Pyhrn-Priel sports arena by bike on 250 km of comfortable cycle paths or 100 km of lively mountain bike trails. Golf enthusiasts will find a golf course just a 10-minute drive away.

Arrive and feel at home! The Poppengut Relax and Hiking Hotel is a haven of peace and individuality. In a cozy atmosphere, you'll find a lobby with reception and hotel bar, a restaurant serving regional delicacies from the gourmet kitchen as well as fine vegetarian dishes, a beer garden, and an in-house wine cellar. The spacious garden with comfortable loungers invites you to relax during the summer months. As a member of the Hiking Hotels association, the hotel offers a hiking information center with maps and nature guides, tour planning and advice, a shoe cleaning station and boot drying room and free transfers with the hotel's own hiking bus.
An elevator, charging stations for electric cars and e-bikes (for a fee), and free parking are available. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.

The hotel has 43 rooms of various categories. Equipped with a bathroom with bathtub or shower/toilet, hairdryer, bathrobe, telephone, radio, satellite TV, safe, WiFi and some with a balcony or terrace, they guarantee a relaxing holiday.
DK (2-4): Country house room, approx. 30m², shower/toilet, parquet floors, comfortable seating area, balcony or terrace.
SS (2-4): Wellness suite, approx. 40m², living & well-being at the highest level with an open bathroom with shower and bathtub, separate toilet, wooden floorboards, minibar, espresso machine, comfortable seating area and balcony in a quiet garden location with a fantastic view of the mountains.
Meals
Poppengut's board: rich gourmet breakfast from the buffet with a cereal corner, fresh fruit, various fruit juices, whole grain products and much more, cold or warm snacks and homemade cakes from the buffet in the afternoon, 5-course menu with regional delicacies from natural cuisine and a salad buffet in the evening. Vegetarian, low-calorie or diet cuisine available upon request and in advance. All day tea bar and apple basket.
Activities
Exercise program with the wellness team with water aerobics, fit for the day with Smovey and walking tours to the Kneipp facility, at least 4 guided tours a week with the mountain adventure guide - from family hikes to summit tours, mountain bike rental including equipment, hiking poles and rucksacks rental, subject to availability.

Conscious enjoyment and relaxation await you in our sauna area, featuring a Finnish sauna, a log cabin sauna, two aromatic steam rooms, an aromatherapy bath with chromotherapy, infrared deep heat, a freshwater whirlpool, and relaxation rooms with a juice bar and apple basket. In the adjoining bathing pavilion, with its indoor and year-round heated outdoor pools in a beautiful garden setting, two whirlpools, and spacious relaxation areas with a refreshment corner, you can unwind and enjoy the end of the day surrounded by nature.
