The family-run hotel is located on the outskirts of Hinterstoder, surrounded by the unique natural and mountain world of the idyllic Stoder Valley. The center of Hinterstoder can be reached within 10 minutes on foot.
Hardly any other region offers such varied and numerous possibilities in summer as the Pyhrn-Priel holiday region. Numerous hiking trails start right outside the front door and lead through untouched nature and to idyllic alpine pastures. For mountaineering and climbing there are 21 two-thousanders. Small hikes can be combined with many excursion destinations in the region. Pedal comfortably or race down the mountain ridges: Discover the Pyhrn-Priel sports arena by bike on 250 km of comfortable cycle paths or 100 km of lively mountain bike trails. Golf enthusiasts will find a golf course just a 10-minute drive away.

Arrive and feel good! The relaxation and hiking hotel Poppengut is a place of tranquility and individuality. In the cozy ambience you will find a lobby with reception and hotel bar, a restaurant with regional delicacies from the gourmet kitchen as well as fine vegetarian dishes, a guest garden and an in-house wine cellar. The spacious garden with comfortable loungers invites you to relax in the summer months. As a member of the hiking hotels, the hotel offers a hiking information center with hiking maps and nature guides, tour planning and advice, shoe cleaning station and shoe drying room, free transfer with the hotel's own hiking bus and evening photo shows of hikes in the hiking cinema.
Lift, e-charging station for electric cars and e-bikes and free parking spaces available. WiFi is available in all areas free of charge.

43 rooms of different categories await you in the hotel. Equipped with a bathroom with bathtub or shower/toilet, hairdryer, bathrobe, telephone, radio, satellite TV, safe, WiFi and some with balcony or terrace, they guarantee relaxing holidays.
DS (2-2): Double room, approx. 18m², simply furnished in the old building with shower/toilet, some with balcony, 3* category.
DK (2-4): Country house room, approx. 30m², shower/toilet, parquet floors, comfortable seating area, balcony or terrace.
SS (2-2): Feel-good suite, approx. 40m², living & feeling good at the highest level with an open bathroom with shower and bathtub, separate toilet, wooden floorboards, minibar, espresso machine, comfortable seating area and balcony in a quiet garden location with a fantastic view of the mountains.
ES (1-1): Single room, approx. 18m², simply furnished in the old building with shower/toilet, some with balcony, 3* category.
Meals
Poppengut's gourmet board: rich gourmet breakfast from the buffet with a muesli corner, fresh fruit, various fruit juices, wholemeal products and much more, in the afternoon cold or warm snack and homemade cakes from the buffet, in the evening 5-course menu with choice of regional delicacies from the natural kitchen and salad buffet. Vegetarian, reduced-calorie or diet cuisine available on request and in advance. All day tea bar and apple basket.
Activities
Exercise program with the wellness team with water aerobics, fit for the day with Smovey and walking tours to the Kneipp facility, at least 4 guided tours a week with the mountain adventure guide - from family hikes to summit tours, mountain bike rental including equipment, hiking poles and rucksacks rental, subject to availability.

In the adjoining bathing pavilion with indoor and year-round heated outdoor pool in a fantastic garden setting, you can spend a day in nature with a few relaxing swim strokes
