The Sonnenhotel Zum Stern offers the perfect starting point to discover the breathtaking nature and the diverse leisure opportunities around the Gastein Valley. From places of power and minerals, from the Großglockner view and the Hohe Tauern, from pleasure hiking to long-distance hiking: mountain enthusiasts will find almost inexhaustible routes and challenges in the Salzburger Land and Gastein Valley. The Gastein Valley is also a brilliant location for mountain bikers of all levels. Beginners start with the easy tours through the valley, while experts can have fun on steep slopes and tricky trails. The Gastein Golf Club is just a 5-minute drive from the hotel in the middle of the Alpine panorama. And within a radius of 50 kilometers there are ten other courses, such as the Goldegg golf course (25km) or the Zell am See golf course (45km).

The right wine comes from the hotel's well-stocked wine cellar. End the day comfortably in the hotel's own garden, on the panoramic terrace with a wonderful view of the Gastein mountains or at the hotel bar. Lift is available. Pets are not allowed. The comfortable furnishings - from classic to modern - with a spacious bathroom with bathtub or shower, some with a separate toilet, hairdryer, rental bathrobe, telephone, radio, flat screen TV, minibar, safe, WiFi and balcony with wonderful mountain views leave nothing to be desired.

OS (2-4): Studio Ankogel, approx. 53m², large bathroom with double sink, separate toilet, furniture made of real spruce wood in country house style, bedroom-living room with pull-out couch and separate, small single room with skylight and its own TV.
OK (2-4): Studio Star, approx. 49m², large bathroom with bathtub and shower, extra toilet, tiled stove, bedroom with double bed and small children's room with 2 single beds, separated by a wooden sliding door.
Meals
Gourmet board plus: Rich breakfast buffet with organic vitality corner, fresh fruit, egg dishes and regional products, savory-sweet snack in the afternoon, 5-course menu in the evening including a salad bar or seasonal buffets. Weekly specialty evenings or barbecues on the panoramic terrace.
If you have allergies or intolerance, alternatives to the daily menu are available upon request and in advance.

Golf
The Gastein Golf Club, founded in 1960, is one of the most traditional and oldest golf clubs in Austria. Everyone from beginners to experienced players meet here with one goal: enjoy playing golf! The 18-hole golf course, located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, offers a unique natural experience. A successful change between hilly paths and plains, old trees and romantic riparian forest. Far from the noise of everyday life, golfers experience harmony and relaxation.
