Winter fun
Schladming is known for its well-groomed slopes, which offer something to suit every taste and every level of skiing ability. Families with children and recreational skiers will find wide, sunny southern slopes, demanding skiers will follow in the footsteps of the world champions and compete on the FIS downhill run of the Planai, where the spectacular night slalom takes place every year. The 123 km of excellently maintained slopes as well as 44 modern cable cars and lifts in the 4-mountain ski area extend from Hauser Kaibling to Reiteralm. Along with the Hochwurzen, the Planai is the central focus of the ski area.
The free ski bus, which stops directly in front of the hotel, takes you regularly, comfortably and without stress, to the Planai valley station and to all neighboring ski areas in the Schladming-Dachstein region and back again in the afternoon.
With 150km of classic and 70km of skating trails, the sunny plateau of Ramsau am Dachstein, approx. 8km away, offers the best conditions for your cross-country skiing holiday. Pleasant cross-country skiers get their money's worth on idyllic valley trails. The entrance to the next cross-country ski trail is approx. 50m away from the hotel. Breathtaking ski tours, fun tobogganing, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating and curling as well as winter and snowshoe hikes through the wintry landscape ensure a winter nature experience away from the ski slopes and cross-country trails. Tip: The local tourism association offers weekly guided snowshoe hikes.
