Location
The farmhouse is situated on a sunny hillside above the town Viehhofen, at the end of a long forest road (about 2km). In winter chains are required. In winter - from December until mid-March - the owner of the cottage offers a shuttle-service which is free of charge between the town and the house.
Distances
The place to shop is Viehhofen in 2km. Ski bus stop in 1km. The up-and downhill drive by car you could arrange with the landlord. You can get to the ski circus Saalbach-Hinterglemm with Schönleitenbahn in 4km. Advanced skiers can ski downhill from (from the slope 68/Hecherhütte) over a more than 1km long deep snow descent the house. Ski School in 2km. In summer: ideal starting point for hiking or biking tours. 10km swimming pool Hinterglemm, Zell am See 9km.
Facilities
You will occupy the ground floor and the upper floor, where you have a separate entrance at the rear of the house. The basement floor (hillside) is inhabited by the owner and his mother. Ground floor: anteroom, snuggery with lounge, sofa, satellite TV, kitchenette equipped with electric cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine and mikrowave. 2 double rooms, bathroom with bath tub, bathroom with shower, sauna, solarium, 2 toilets. Upper floor: 2 double rooms, 1 four-bed room (1 double bed and extendable sofa if required). All rooms with satellite TV. Free Wi-Fi. Wood central heating. Seats and a barbecue are in front of the house. Next to it is a fenced in pond to go for a swim or splash about in the water.
Additional Costs
Lump-sum € 2,50-/person/night, if wanted sauna € 12,-/night, local tourism tax currently € 1,70/person/night, final cleaning € 50,-/week. Bed linen can be rented for € 7, -/set.
