Location
Sole, sunny mountain location. Easy arrival via a paved mountain road to the landlord's farm. The last kilometer is gravel. The last 300 m lead to the hut on foot across the meadow.

4-room hut on 2 floors, balcony, approx. 90 m², upper floor: (accessible via external staircase): anteroom, living room with double bed, wood-burning stove, seating area, sofa and exit to the balcony and toilet, kitchen with wood-burning stove for cooking and heating. Filter coffee attachment. Sitting area, bedroom with bunk bed and single bed. Ground floor: living room with large seating area, bar and open fireplace.
Radio, lockable storage space for bicycles, fenced parking lot for 1 car (approx. 300 m from the hut), toilet accessible via balcony, solar shower, furnished garden, deck chairs, parasol, open fireplace for barbecuing in the hut, wood storage.
Energy: no electricity (please bring candles and flashlights) - there is a socket in the wood store outside the hut (please use sparingly)

Activities
Be in the here and now doing "nothing". Of course you can experience a lot, be active, hike and bike - after all you are here in the national park and the attractions such as the Krimml Waterfalls, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the National Park Center, natural bathing lakes and much more. want to be discovered.
But how about simply arriving and letting the surroundings, the landscape, this holiday home work its magic. Your hut is over 80 years old, it was once used as a feeding stall. The last owners were glass artists. When the sunlight shines through the colorful windows, a play of colors is awakened. The "hut" experience is in the foreground here: cooking on the typical regional stove, which first has to be heated, evening romance by candlelight, the cozy living room with an open fireplace - here you can even have a barbecue indoors.
The best way to enjoy the unique view of the Hohe Tauern, with the outstanding Pihapper, is with a relaxed glass of wine after a long hike. The owners of the hut are happy to recommend the demanding hikes on the Geißstein, which at 2,363 m is the highest grassy mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps, the Rinnkogel or the tour to the Bürglhütte, which is open to the public.
Winter fun
In winter, in addition to the well-known ski areas such as Zell am See-Kaprun, Gastein, Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun and Maiskogel or the Zillertal Arena, the focus is also on the small, fine areas. They score with great family specials and attractive prices. These include: Rauris ski area, Grossarltal, Wildkogel Arena, Nagelkoepfel in Piesendorf, Weißsee Gletscherwelt in Uttendorf, the Mölltaler Gletscher/Flattach is the highest and snowiest ski mountain on Austria's southern side of the Alps. Skiing fun extends up to 3,122 meters above sea level.
