Location
The hut is located amidst a spacious meadow, solitary positioned, at the bottom of the Riedingtal valley. Perfect starting point for numerous winter and summer activities.
Distances
Next village Zederhaus 6km or St. Michael with shops, restaurants 16km. Ski region Großeck-Speiereck 20km away. Katschberg 23km. The region Ski amadé (entrance to the joint skiing areas Flachauwinkel-Zauchensee-Kleinarl) is easily reachable via the Tauern-tunnel within 20 minutes (23km). Perfect starting-point for ski touring up from the hut. The Riedingtal is a nature park with healthy mountain climate, during summer with farmed alpine huts und quiet mountain lakes. You can take the bus to reach the Riedingtal. There are numerous bigger and smaller lakes at this nature reserve. Hiking tours to the near mountain peaks provide a great view to the Großglockner!
Facilities
Ground floor: snuggery with lounge, satellite TV and kitchenette with electric cooker (3 plates), oven, wood stove, fridge, coffee machine. 1 twin room. Bathroom with shower, toilet. Upper floor: 2 double rooms, 1 twin room. 1 toilet. Heating via wood stove and electrically. In front of the cottage are wide meadows, garden furniture and a barbecue. Please bring along your own bed linen and towels. As of June 2019 there will be a "biological Swiss pine sauna" directly at the cottage. You can choose between Finnish sauna, mild warm-air bath and steam bath with changing temparatures, humidity and colour lights. Every kind of bathing should be a benefit for your health. Afterwards you can relax at the silent room or at the open-air hot pot directly in front of the cottage.
Additional Costs
Local tourism tax currently € 2,35/person/night, electricity € 0,45/kWh, waste disposal € 5,-/bag. Wood: winter € 100,-/week, spring and fall € 75,-/ week, summer € 50,-/week. Pet € 25,-/ stay. Final cleaning € 75,- (if you do not use the sauna/hotpot € 50,-). Deposit € 300,-. Bedlinen/towels can be rented € 10,-/set.
