Description
This is where the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Salzburg beats.
With the establishment of the DomQuartier, the historic center of political and ecclesiastical power in Salzburg has been re-experienced in a way that allows visitors to see through the eyes of the Prince-Archbishops. Today, everyone, as only the Prince-Archbishop and a select few were then allowed, can wander from one sphere to the other: from the secular splendor of the Residence – with its pictorial narratives of the deeds of Alexander the Great – to the spiritual sphere of the Cathedral and Archabbey.
The tour includes the state rooms of the Residence, the Residence Gallery, the Cathedral Arch Terrace, the North Oratory, the Cathedral Organ Gallery, the Cathedral Museum, the Chamber of Art and Curiosities, the Long Gallery, and the St. Peter's Museum.
