Description
Johann Strauss, the first pop star in world history, will be honored with a modern and impressive monument in Vienna on the occasion of his 200th birthday in 2025. A place in the center of Vienna where his genius can be felt and experienced. The new permanent exhibition lets you experience, hear and feel the breathtaking rollercoaster ride that was Johann Strauss' life up close. Entertainment and information are not in opposition here, but rather combine to form a multimedia symphony.
Immersive - Informative - Interactive
The exhibition combines information with innovation and not only presents the life of Johann Strauss, but also connects dramatic experiences in his life with the pieces he composed. On two levels, you can move through Strauss' life through the various acts into which the exhibition is thematically divided. You will receive information that you can hear through the innovative headphone system and you can also participate in the exhibition interactively, for example by composing your own personal waltz. The crowning conclusion and final act of the exhibition is an immersive room in which various installations will be on display. Among other things, one of the famous concerts that Strauss gave in Boston in 1872 in front of a huge audience.
